The new $270 million, 12-story Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, located in Daytona Beach, will open July 14.The 718,000-square-foot hospital on 135 acres next to Interstate 95 will double the size of the existing Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial. The new facility will have 277 beds with a capacity for 350 beds. Its new emergency center will be double the size of the old one, and its BirthCare Center will have 32 beds, up from 13. Future plans include a community wellness and education center, free standing and comprehensive Cancer Care Center, child care services for the employees, and a nature trail that spans the boundaries of the 135-acre site.
