As reported by News-Journal Online, "A series of community festivals in the Daytona Beach area, to increase awareness about the upcoming U.S. Census, starts today.
Organizers say there will be food, stilt walkers, face painters, balloon art, miniature horses and blood pressure checks. There will also be chances to learn about the census and census questionnaires, which will be mailed to every household in mid-March.
Here are the dates, times and locations of the festivals:
Feb. 27:
· 10 a.m. to noon at the Village at Halifax, 121 Norma Drive
· 1 to 3 p.m. at Pine Haven, 101 Carl Brinkley Circle
March 13:
· 10 a.m. to noon at Lakeside Village, 155 Ontario Court
· 1 to 3 p.m. Northwood Village community building, 1200 Ninth Street
March 20:
· 10 a.m. to noon at Derbyshire Park, 849 Derbyshire Road
· 1 to 4 p.m. at the Windsor Apartments, 524 S. Beach St."
