Daytona 500 Experience in Daytona Beach

The Daytona 500 Experience, the official attraction of NASCAR, is hosting "Women in the Winner's Circle," the traveling exhibit that recognizes the past history, the growing achievements and the future growth of women in racing. It will be on display through March.

Racing legend Lyn St. James, founder of the Women in the Winner's Circle Foundation, joined with The Henry Ford of Dearborn, MI, to create the exhibit. Featured are informational panels, photographs, three race cars and personal artifacts that illustrate the history of women in motorsports, which dates as far back as 1903.

An interactive kiosk is setup so that visitors to the exhibit can read in depth biographies and see additional photos of the drivers, along with a glossary of racing terms, a list of driving schools and sanctioning bodies.

The Daytona 500 Experience is designed to appeal to both hard-core race fans and casual observers. Wall-to-wall activities, challenging thrills and one-of-a-kind sights pack the Ultimate Motorsports Attraction. Included inside the attraction is the Coca-Cola IMAX Theatre, the 16-Second Pit Stop Challenge, three racing simulators and the winning Daytona 500 car.

Women in the Winner's Circle Foundation is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization dedicated to professional development for talented, up-and-coming young women race car drivers and encourages women to pursue opportunities in automotive fields. Visit LynStJames.com for more information.
