The Halifax Historical Museum is accepting toys and gifts for children and teens, and nonperishable food for needy families.
The museum at 252 S. Beach St. is accepting the toys for the Daytona Beach Police Department to distribute to families in need. The food collected will be distributed by the Daytona Beach Partnership Association, a nonprofit Main Street organization.
Deadline for toys and food is Dec. 22. The museum also has a holiday exhibit, "Home for the Holidays," celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 386-255-6076.
Let's all reach out and help someone this holiday season.
